Abstract : The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of supplementary feeding (PMT)-based local food to pregnant women to decrease chronic energy deficiency (CED) and a decrease in low birth weight (LBW). This type of quasi experimental study (Non-Equivalent Control Goup Design With Pre Test and Post Test). The treatment given in the form of supplementary feeding (PMT)-based local food provided during the 2-3 months since the age of 7 months of gestation until delivery. Samples were pregnant women at risk of KEK. After the test statistic using the t test, there was significant difference circumstances nutritional status (a measure of upper arm circumference) between the two goups (p = 0.016). Pregnant women who received PMT has a birth weight higher than in pregnant women who did not receive PMT (p <0.05).
